The Career Center is a central resource that builds collaborative relationships between Temple and the employment community. We also empower students and alumni through comprehensive career development services, helping them achieve career success.
Whether you are confused about where to begin in your career, or you have recently decided that you want to make a career change, career assessment counseling can be a valuable tool. Many times, students and alumni alike come to The Career Center indicating that they feel “lost” about what to do next. Career assessment counseling can provide a place to start, as well as help discover some alternative career paths and new industries to explore.
If you are unsure about what major to choose, you can talk with a career coach who will help you assess your personal qualities, evaluate the information you have collected, suggest additional resources, and guide you through the decision-making process.
The Career Center can also help you get started on resume and cover letter writing with guidelines, expert advice, and models from successful job-seeking professionals.
You can also schedule a real-time mock interview to help practice interviewing skills and receive constructive feedback on ways to improve your performance.
All students and alumni have access to the Owl Network, which houses online job and internship postings.
Career fairs, workshops and events hosted by or in conjunction with the university are another way Temple University’s Career Center helps students and alumni connect with potential employers.
