Center for Learning and Student Success

The Center for Learning and Student Success (CLASS) strives to create an environment that fosters a balance of intellectual stimulation with productive and engaging academic support for our students.  CLASS is a welcoming tutoring atmosphere for all students enrolled in math, science, statistics, and other quantitative courses.  CLASS is led by content-qualified peer tutors, and our support systems are designed to help all students achieve their highest potential and reach their academic goals.

Virtual Tutoring Options

CLASS tutoring is offered to online students enrolled in lower-division math, science, statistics, and other quantitative-based courses supported by the Center.  We provide real-time appointment-based online tutoring through WebEx and Blackboard.  Interested students can make a virtual appointment with a CLASS tutor who will tailor the tutoring experience to your personal needs.

Review Sessions

You can attend live test or final review sessions on Temple’s main campus or watch the “Class Capture” recording via Blackboard.

Peer Assisted Study Sessions (P.A.S.S.)

P.A.S.S. is designed to help you develop the learning and study skills required to succeed through the guidance of fellow students who have already succeeded in a particular course.

Self-Starting Resources

Programs provided by the CLASS such as “ALEKS” or “MyMathTest” can help online students refresh their math skills on their own.
